چکیده

The quantum Liouville equation in the Wigner representation is solved numerically by using Monte Carlo methods. For incremental time steps, the propagation is implemented as a classical evolution in phase space modi ed by a quantum correction. The correction, which is a momentum jump function, is simulated in the quasi-classical approximation via a stochastic process. In this paper the technique, which is developed and validated in twoand three-dimensional momentum space, extends an earlier one-dimensional work. Also, by developing a new algorithm, the application to bound state motion in an anharmonic quartic potential shows better agreement with exact solutions in two-dimensional phase space.

Stochastic functional population dynamics with jumps

In this paper we use a class of stochastic functional Kolmogorov-type model with jumps to describe the evolutions of population dynamics. By constructing a special Lyapunov function, we show that the stochastic functional differential equation associated with our model admits a unique global solution in the positive orthant, and, by the exponential martingale inequality with jumps, we dis...

Adiabatic elimination in quantum stochastic models

We consider a physical system with a coupling to bosonic reservoirs via a quantum stochastic differential equation. We study the limit of this model as the coupling strength tends to infinity. We show that in this limit the solution to the quantum stochastic differential equation converges strongly to the solution of a limit quantum stochastic differential equation. In the limiting dynamics the...

A combined quantum-classical dynamics method for calculating thermal rate constants of chemical reactions in solution

We present a combined quantum-classical-stochastic dynamics method based on the flux-flux correlation function for calculating the thermal rate constants of chemical reactions in solution or in biological systems. The present method is an extension of an earlier method by Metiu and co-workers [J. Chem. Phys. 88, 2478 ( 1988) ] to include stochastic dynamics. The method is tested by applying it ...

Mathematical Foundation of Quantum Annealing

Quantum annealing is a generic name of quantum algorithms to use quantum-mechanical fluctuations to search for the solution of optimization problem. It shares the basic idea with quantum adiabatic evolution studied actively in quantum computation. The present paper reviews the mathematical and theoretical foundation of quantum annealing. In particular, theorems are presented for convergence con...

Designing a quantum genetic controller for tracking the path of quantum systems

Based on learning control methods and computational intelligence, control of quantum systems is an attractive field of study in control engineering. What is important is to establish control approach ensuring that the control process converges to achieve a given control objective and at the same time it is simple and clear. In this paper, a learning control method based on genetic quantum contr...
